Building in Egypt was a 'politico-religious activity' (Barry Kemp). The Pharaohs used the building program to not only honour the gods but to promote their own ideologies. The following diagram sums up the role of the program:

Each of the pharaohs contributed the the building program in their own way, and when answering a response on this dot point you will have to refer to at least 3 of the individual pharaoh's contributions. Use your booklet along with the following summary table to be prepared for this dot point.
