The New Kingdom of Egypt, also referred to as the Egyptian Empire, is the period in ancient Egyptian history between the 16th century BC and the 11th century BC, covering the Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and Twentieth Dynasties of Egypt.

Known especially for monumental architecture, the New Kingdom, a period of nearly 500 years of political stability and economic prosperity,  produced an abundance of artistic masterpieces.

Our study of this period begins with the reign of Amenhotep III and ends with the death of the famous Ramesses II.
